The National Academy School offers classes in painting, drawing, sculpture, watercolor, printmaking, and mixed media. Classes and workshops focus on a range of subjects, including figurative, landscape, still life, and abstraction. Students may register by quarter, semester, or year.

Fall, Winter, Spring Classes
Fall classes for the 2009-2010 academic year begin Monday, September 14th. The year is divided into four quarters of 8 weeks each. See the Registration page for the dates for the quarters and the vacation schedule. Classes are offered in the mornings, afternoons, late afternoons and evenings during the week and all day Saturday. The school is closed Sundays, except during special weekend workshops.

Workshops
Workshops are offered during the entire school year for short periods of duration, i.e. a weekend, or one or two weeks. These are often given by visiting artist instructors, many of whom are academicians and from other universities or colleges in the United States and abroad.

Youth Classes
Classes for ages 6-13 are given after school as well as on Saturdays. In the summertime weeklong, 9 AM - 4 PM art camps for various age groups are also offered. Check the schedule for times and dates.
