David Dewey
Mr. Dewey was educated at the Philadelphia College of Art where he earned a BFA in 1968 and a MFA from Washington State University in 1974. He has taught at the New York Academy of Art, Parsons School of Design, the Philadelphia College of Art, and Washington State University. In addition to teaching at the National Academy, he also teaches at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, CT.
His exhibitions include group shows with The Farnsworth Museum, Rockland, ME; the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA; the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts, Summit, NJ; the Sewall Gallery, Rice University; the Philbrook Art Center, Philbrook, OK, as well as solo exhibitions at Fischbach Gallery, NY and Bernaducci-Meisel Gallery, NY. His watercolors can be found in the Farnsworth Art Museum, Rockland, ME; Bowdoin College Museum of Art, Brunswick, ME; the Portland Museum of Art; Philip Morris, NYC; Reader's Digest, Pleasantville, NY, and numerous corporate and private collections.
