Tom Ferrara
Brooklyn born abstract artist, Tom Ferrara, attended the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Montgomery College in Rockwille, Maryland. From 1979-1987 we was the Studio Assistant to Willem de Kooning in East Hampton, NY. He has had solo shows
At the Katharina Rich Perlow Gallery, New York, where he is represented, and at the Benton Gallery, Southampton, New York. Group shows include the Ober Gallery, Kent Conn. In the summer of 2007 and 2006, the Montgomery College Alumni Exhibition, the Albright Knox Members Gallery, Buffalo, NY, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, Columbus, OH, the Guild Hall Museum, East Hampton,, and the Gallery Voya, Washington D.C..
He has taught at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD and has been a visiting lecturer at the Washington Studio School, Washington D.C., the Delaplane Visual Arts Center, Frederick, MD, and at Binghamton University, (SUNY) Binghamton, NY
Mr. Ferrara's work can be found in the collections of Time-Warner, New York, Pepsico, Purchase, NY, the Four Seasons Hotel, New York, and other private collections both in the U.S. and in England.
