Dan Gheno


Dan Gheno lives in New York and teaches at the National Academy as well as the Art Students League. He is a Professor Emeritus at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme CT where he taught for eighteen years. He studied at the Santa Barbara Art Institute, The Art Students League and the National Academy School of Fine Arts.

Mr. Gheno has exhibited at the Butler Art Institute, Youngstown, OH; Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA; the University of Hartford Art Gallery, CT; the Limbo Gallery and Caro Gallery in New York; the National Arts Club; the Pastel Society of America Annuals; the Allied Artists of America Annuals; and in the "Artists Paint New York" at the Museum of the City of New York exhibition in 1995. He has been the subject of a solo show at the Legacy Gallery in Philadelphia, PA and most recently at Union County College, Cranford, NJ. Mr. Gheno is currently represented by DSA Fine Arts, Long Island, NY. His work is in the collections of the Museum of the City of New York; The New Britain Museum of American Art and the Griswold Museum, Connecticut. Mr. Gheno is also a contributing editor for Drawing Magazine.
