Morton Kaish, NA


Morton Kaish earned his BFA degree at Syracuse University with additional studies at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris, the Istituto d'Arte in Florence and the Accademia delle belle Arti in Rome. In 1989 he received Syracuse University's Distinguished Alumni Award for Achievement in the Fine Arts. His work is included in a number of public collections, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, and The Brooklyn Museum, among others.

Mr. Kaish has been Visiting Artists at the School of Visual Arts, parson School of Design, Philadelphia College of Art, Queens College, The Tyler School of Art, Susquehanna University, Columbia University and Boston University. He has served as artist-in-residence at Dartmouth College, the University of Washington, and the University of Haifa, as well as on the faculties of the New School and the Art Students League, as well as on the faculties of the New School and the Art Students League. He has served on the School Committee of the National Academy and has participated in School Critiques, Workshops, and exhibition juries.
