Doris Staal
Ms. Staal received an MA from New York University and studied at The Art Students League, Pratt Graphics Institute, and the New School for Social Research. She has been
teaching art to young people and adults for over twenty-five years and in addition to the National Academy School, she has taught at the Walden-Lincoln School and the New Lincoln School. She is an art consultant at LaGuardia High School, as well as a consultant in curriculum and staff development to a number of private and public schools throughout the Northeast. She was also a teacher/consultant at the Dahesh Museum, NY.
Her work has appeared in exhibitions at the Atlantic Gallery, NYC; University Council of Art Education; the Irish Art Institute; Bank Street College of Education, NY; the University of Wales, Cardiff, and Skidmore College, where she was the recipient of several fellowships. Her work is included in the print collection of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, among others.
