THE ABBEY MURAL WORKSHOP FELLOWSHIP

JULY 7 - AUGUST 1, 2008

Sponsored by the Edwin Austin Abbey Memorial Fund for
Mural Painting in America

THE ABBEY MURAL WORKSHOP provides selected artists with the techniques to successfully compete for public art mural commissions. Our emphasis is on two-dimensional work that grows out of the mural tradition. Participants will meet professionals working in the public art field through workshop lectures, demonstrations, and critiques. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will learn how to develop a project budget, create a project maquette, and deliver a persuasive presentation. Past artists have gone on to secure commissions and install public art projects across the country.
