Born in New York, NY, 1931, painter Barbara Adrian studied at the Art Students League with Reginald Marsh, and at Hunter College, and Columbia University. She lives and works in New York City and is represented by the Harmon-Meek Gallery, Naples, FL, and the Gerald Peters Gallery, Santa Fe, NM. She has had recent exhibitions at the Harmon-Meek Gallery; Gerald Peters Gallery; The Century Association; "Magic Realism" exhibition, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art; and the Art Students League. Her work is included in the collections of Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, Lorreta, PA; Arkansas Art Center, Little Rock, AK; The Century Association, NY; National Academy; Philharmonic Center for the Arts, Naples, FL; and the Butler Institute of American Art. She is the recipient of a Richard Recchia Prize, Benjamin Altman Prize for Painting, and a Certificate of Merit, National Academy.
