Painter Robert Berlind was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1938, and earned a BA from Columbia College, and a BFA and MFA from Yale University. He has taught at SUNY, Purchase, and the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. He lives and works in New York City and Cochecton, NY, and is represented by the Tibor de Nagy Gallery. Recent exhibitions include several at Tibor de Nagy Gallery; University Art Galleries, Wright State University; Picker Art Gallery, Colgate University; Hampshire College Gallery, Amherst, MA; Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase; Delaware Arts Center; Ruth Siegel Gallery; Gallery One, Toronto; Philbrook Museum of Art; Davenport Museum of Art; Lennon, Weinberg Gallery; James Graham Gallery; Yale University Art Gallery; and the American Academy of Arts & Letters. His work is included in the collection of the Neuberger Museum, Purchase; J.B. Speed Museum; Museum of the City of New York; and the corporate collection of the General Electric Co. He is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant; NEA Fellowship; and an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Painting.
