JAMES BOHARY, NA ANA 1992; NA 1994 Painter James Bohary was born in Brooklyn, NY, 1940, and studied at New York University and the New York Studio School with Philip Guston. He currently teaches art at Binghamton University and Dartmouth College. He lives and works in New York City and is represented by Elizabeth Harris Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions include the Elizabeth Harris Gallery; James Baird Gallery, St. John's, Newfoundland; J. Prats Gallery; Allan Stone Gallery; Dartmouth College Museum; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Corcoran Gallery; American Academy of Arts & Letters; Neuberger Museum, Purchase; Guild Hall Museum; Las Vegas Art Museum; Kachsiung Museum of Fine Art, Taiwan; and the Artgrafic Galeria d'Arte, Barcelona. He is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant; CAPS Grant; numerous awards from the American Academy of Arts & Letters; National Endowment for the Arts Grant; and numerous awards from the National Academy Museum.
