STEPHEN BROWN, NA NA 1999 Painter Stephen Brown was born in Greeley, CO, 1950, and earned a BFA from Colorado State University and an MFA from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He lives and works in Granville, MA, and is represented by the Forum Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions have included the Hofstra Museum; Forum Gallery; Arnot Art Museum; and the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts. His work is included in the collections of the Speed Museum, KY; New Britain Museum of Art; Hofstra Museum; Albany Museum; and the Mattatuck Museum, Waterbury, CT. He is the recipient of an American Academy of Arts & Letters Award; Childe Hassam Purchase Award; and the Benjamin Altman Prize, National Academy.
