Born in Palo Alto, CA, 1921, painter Charles Cajori studied at the Cleveland Museum School of Art, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and Columbia University. He has taught at Cooper Union; Queens College; and the New York Studio School. He lives and works in Watertown, CT and is represented by the Rohin-Geduld Gallery and the David Findlay Jr. Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions have included Paesaggio Gallery; David Findlay Jr. Gallery; Rohin-Geduld Gallery; Wright State University; New York Studio School; Dartmouth College; Transforming the Page and The Artists' Eye exhibition, National Academy; American Figure Drawing, Frye Museum; and the American Academy of Arts & Letters Invitational Exhibition. His work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Walker Art Center; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; Arkansas Art Center; and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship; American Academy of Arts & Letters Award; Ranger Fund Purchase Award, National Academy; and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
