ROBERT CRONIN, NA

Painter Robert Cronin was born in Boston, MA, 1936, and earned a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Cornell University. He has taught at Bennington College, Brown University, and the School of the Worcester Art Museum. He lives and works in Falls Village, CT. Recent exhibitions include the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; Kouros Gallery, NY; New Arts Gallery, Litchfield, CT; Brown University Hillel; Tremaine Gallery, Hotchkiss School, CT; Worcester Art Museum; Zabriskie Gallery; Carnegie Museum of Art; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Marlborough Gallery; Twenty Years exhibition, Virginia Lynch Gallery, RI; After Duchamp, Galerie 1900-2000, Paris, France; and the Gimpel Galleries, NY and London. His work is included in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art; National Academy of Design; Carnegie Museum of Art; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the National Air and Space Museum, DC. He is the recipient of a Providence Art Club Prize; Boston Fine Arts Festival Prize; Massachusetts Artists' Foundation Grant; and the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation Grant.
