Born in Jerry City, OH, 1928, sculptor Tom Doyle earned both a BFA and MFA from Ohio State University. He has taught at Queens College, City University of New York, Brooklyn Museum School, and the New School. He lives and works in Roxbury, CT, and is represented by the Kouros Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions include New Arts Gallery, Litchfield, CT; Paesaggio Gallery, CT; Nicolaysen Art Museum, WY; Kouros Gallery, NY; Mattatuck Museum; LongHouse Foundation; several exhibitions at the Bill Bace Gallery, NY; Chesterwood Museum; Rockland Center for the Arts; Pratt Institute; New York Studio School Gallery; Parrish Art Museum; Socrates Sculpture Park, NY; New Britain Museum; Sculpture Center; Max Hutchinson Gallery; and the Neuberger Museum, Purchase. Public commissions include the Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek, Chester, CT; Jean Widmark Memorial, Roxbury, CT; Queens College Science Building, NY; C.W. Post/LIU, Hillwood Art Gallery; Allentown Cedar Parkway, PA; Reading Public Library; and Art In Public Places, South Dakota State University. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship; NEA Award; Lifetime Achievement Award for Art, American Academy of Arts & Letters; and an Ohioana Career Award.
