Born in Boston, MA, 1937, sculptor Nick Edmonds studied at the Ogunquit School of Painting and Sculpture and received a diploma with honors from the Boston Museum School (studied with Ernest Morenon and Harold Tovish) and remained there for a post-graduate year. He is a member of the Sculptors Guild and has lectured at Montserat College of Art and Amherst College. He lives and works in Sharon, MA, and teaches at Boston University. Recent exhibitions include the Sullivan Goss Gallery, Santa Barbara, CA; Copley Society of Boston; Amherst College Museum; College of William and Mary; North Eastern University, Boston; New Britain Museum of Art; Brockton Art Center, MA; and a retrospective at 808 Gallery, Boston University. His work is in the collections of St. Anselms College, NH; New Britain Museum of Art; Tufts University; Boston Public Library; and the Newton Free Library, MA. He is the recipient of a Blanche E. Colman Award; Fulbright Fellowship, Japan; Massachusetts Council for the Arts and Humanities Award; Berkshire Tacconic Foundation Grant; St.Gaudens Fellowship; and several awards, National Academy.
