Born in New York, NY, kinetic sculptor Lin Emery studied with Ossip Zadkine in Paris and currently lives and works in New Orleans, LA. She is represented by the Kouros Gallery, NY, and the Arthur Roger Gallery, New Orleans, LA. She has taught at Tulane University, School of Architecture. Recent exhibitions include the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; New Orleans Museum of Art; Slidell Arts Center; Meadows Museum; Mitsuhashi Gallery, Kyoto, Japan; Brevard Art Center, FL; Alexandria Museum; Arthur Roger Gallery, New Orleans; Sculpture 20th Century, Neuberger Museum, Purchase; Fujisankei Biennial, Japan; Bass Museum, FL; and the Kouros Gallery, NY. Her work is included in the collection of the National Collection of American Art; Chrysler Museum; Grounds for Sculpture; Delaware Art Museum; Museum of Foreign Art, Sofia, Bulgaria; Columbia Museum of art; New Orleans Museum of Art; and the Fllint Institute. She is the recipient of a Grande Prix for Public Sculpture, Osaka, Japan; NEA Grant; Lazlo Aranyi Award for Public Sculpture, VA; Governor's Arts Award, LA; and has an Honorary Doctorate from Loyola University, New Orleans.
