Born in Washington, DC, 1943, painter Alan Feltus studied at the Tyler School of Fine Arts, and earned a BFA from Cooper Union and an MFA from Yale University. He has taught at the Dayton Art Institute and at American University in Washington, DC. He lives and works in Assisi, Italy and is represented by the Forum Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions include several shows at the Ann Nathan Gallery, Chicago; several exhibitions at the Forum Gallery, NY and Los Angeles; Hemphill Fine Arts, Washington, DC; Huntington Art Museum; and Between Heaven & Earth, New Classical Movements in the Art of Today, Museum voor Moderne Kunst, Belgium. His work is included in the collection of the American Academy in Rome; American Medical Association; Baily Museum; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; National Museum of American Art; Corcoran Gallery of Art; Oklahoma City Art Museum; and the Wichita Art Museum. He is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant; NEA Grant; Louis Comfort Tiffany Grant; and a Rome Prize Fellowship.
