HENRY FINKELSTEIN, NA

Born in Bar Harbor, ME, 1958, painter Henry Finkelstein earned a BFA from Cooper Union, where he studied with Reuben Kadish and Nicolas Marsciano, and an MFA from Yale University where he was the student of Lester Johnson. He has taught at the University of Hartford Art School, New York Studio School, Washington Studio School, and is currently on the faculty of the National Academy School of Fine Arts. He lives and works in New York City and is represented by the Kraushaar Galleries, NY. Recent exhibitions include numerous exhibitions at the Kraushaar Galleries; Prince Street Gallery; Valley House Gallery, Dallas, TX; Between the Muse Gallery, ME; Tibor de Nagy Gallery; Ingber Gallery; Portland Museum of Art; Washington Art Association; Parkerson Gallery, TX; On the Edge, Portland Museum of Art; and the Simon Gallery, NJ. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, Italy; grants from the French government; Carnegie Prize, Hallgarten Prize, National Academy; and a residency at Rouquefort en Terre, France.
