EVANGELOS FRUDAKIS, NA

Evangelos Frudakis studied at the American Academy in Rome, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Beaux Arts Institute of Design, NY. He lives and works in Kerrville, TX, and has taught at the Frudakis Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, which he founded, and the National Academy of Design School of Fine Arts, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
He has shown in numerous one-person and group exhibitions in New York including the National Academy of Design Annuals and the Sculpture Society Annuals. Sculpture commissions include Minute Man, National Guard Readiness Center, Arlington, VA; Welcome Fountain, Rittenhouse, Philadelphia; The Signer, Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia; and Icarus and Daedelus, fountain, Little Rock, AR. He is the recipient of an Artists Fund Prize and a Gold Medal at several National Academy of Design Annuals; Meiselman Prize, Herbert Adams Award, and a Richards Prize, National Sculpture Society; and a Prix de Rome.
