Born in Chicago, IL, 1923, painter Leon Goldin earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from the University of Iowa. He is Professor Emeritus at Columbia University. He lives and works in New York City and is represented by the Kraushaar Galleries. Recent exhibitions include the Oakland Museum, CA; Felix Landau Gallery, Los Angeles; Galleria L'Attico, Rome, Italy; University Art Museum, SUNY, Binghamton; Butler Institute of American Art; Worcester Art Museum; and numerous shows at the Kraushaar Galleries. His work is included in the collections of the Addison Gallery of American Art; Baltimore Museum of Art; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Cincinnati Museum of Art; Everson Museum; Modern Art Museum, Fort Worth, TX; and the St, Louis Art Museum. He is the recipient of a CAPS Grant; National Endowment for the Arts Grant; Guggenheim Fellowship; Prix de Rome; and a Ford Foundation Purchase Award.
