Born in Cincinnati, OH, 1934, painter Daniel E. Greene studied at the Art Students League and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He has taught painting at the National Academy of Design School of Fine Arts and the Art Students League. He lives and works in North Salem, NY. Recent exhibitions include the Hollis Taggart Galleries; The Lotos Club; Gallery Henoch; Hammond Museum; Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester; Ingber Gallery; Pelham Art Center; and the Riverside Art Museum, CA. His work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Cincinnati Museum of Fine Art; Norfolk Museum of Fine Arts; Smithsonian Institution; The White House; Harvard University; Columbia University; and the National Collection of Fine Arts, DC. He is the recipient of a John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Foundation Grant; Elizabeth T. Greenshields Foundation Grant; and the Lifetime Achievement Award in Oil Painting, American Artist, Oil Painters of America Society.
