Born in Pittsburgh, PA, 1934, painter Yvonne Jacquette studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. She lives and works in New York City and is represented by the DC Moore Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions include several at the DC Moore Gallery; Stanford University; Colby College Museum of Art; Utah Museum of Fine Arts; Hudson River Museum; numerous shows at the Brooke Alexander Gallery; John Berggruen Gallery; St. Louis Art Museum; University of Southern Maine; Takanawa Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan; Marlborough Gallery, Spain; American Academy of Arts & Letters; Marlborough Gallery, Spain; and the Museum of Modern Art. Her work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Museum of Modern Art; American Academy of Arts & Letters; Arkansas Art Center; Cleveland Museum of Art; Miami Art Museum; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Staatliche Museum, Berlin, Germany; and the Yale University Art Gallery. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship; New York Federation for the Arts Grant; and the Shatalov Prize, and the Carnegie Prize, National Academy.
