Born in Washington, DC, 1932, sculptor Lloyd Lillie holds a diploma from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and also studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, the Corcoran School of Art, and the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence. He lives and works in Newton, MA, and has taught at Boston University. Recent exhibitions include the Dana Hall School, Wellesley, MA; St. Botolph Club, Boston; Falmouth Public Library; National Sculpture Society; Cambridge Art Association; Mirsky Gallery; Antheneum, Boston; Institute of Contemporary Art; Hirshhorm Museum; Corcoran Gallery of Art; and the Milton Academy, MA. His work is included in the collections of the Saarinen Arch, St. Louis, MO; City of Boston, Faneuil Hall; Department of the Interior, Washington, DC. Boston Public Library; College of William and Mary; University of Virginia; and the U.S. embassies in North Yemen and Saudi Arabia. He is the recipient of sculpture awards at the National Sculpture Society and the National Academy.
