Born in Cleveland, OH, 1921, painter Frank Mason studied at the Art Students League with Frank Vincent Dumond and at the National Academy School of Fine Arts. He teaches at the Art Students League. He lives and works in New York City and is represented by Total Arts Gallery, Taos, NM, G. Edward Gallery, Cornwall, NY, G.C. Lucas Gallery, IN, and the Elizabeth Eisenhower Gallery, RI.. Recent exhibitions include Bond Street Gallery, FL; St. Johnsbury Art League, VT; a retrospective at the Art Students League; Phoenix Museum of Fine Arts; French & Co., NY; Butler Institute of American Art; Museum of the City of New York; Minnesota Museum of Art; Salamagundi Club; and the Union League Club, NY. His work is included in the collections of the Phoenix Art Museum; New York Public Library; Southern Vermont Art Center; Capitol Hall of Governors, Albany; Church of San Giovani di Malta, Venice, Italy; Old St. Patrick's Cathedral, NY; San Antonio Museum, TX; Eureke College Museum, IL; and the Iowa Wesleyan College Museum. He is the recipient of the Cross of Merit, Sovereign Military Order of Malta; Arthur Ross Award, Classical America; Newington Cropsey Award for Excellence in the Arts; American Academy of Arts & Letters Purchase Award; and a Medal of Honor, Salmagundi Club, NY.
