Architect Richard Meier received a degree in architecture from Cornell University. He has taught at Cooper Union, Princeton University, Pratt Institute, Harvard University, Yale University, UCLA, and Cornell. He is head of Richard Meier & Partners Architects, New York, NY. This world renowned firm of Richard Meier Partners Architects has designed the Getty Center, Los Angeles; Frankfurt Museum for Decorative Arts, Germany; Canal Plus Television Headquarters, Paris; Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, Spain; Hartford Seminary, CT; The Atheneum, New Harmony, IN; and the High Museum, Atlanta, GA, among the major commissions built by this firm. He is the youngest recipient of the prestigious Pritzker Prize for Architecture, 1984; and also received the Deutscher Arkitecture Preis; Royal Gold Medal, Raoyal Institute of British Architects, of which he is a Fellow; AIA Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects; and has Honorary Degrees from the University of Naples; New Jersey Institute of Technology; New School; Pratt Institute; and the University of Bucharest.
