Born in Philadelphia, PA, 1936, painter Ben Frank Moss earned a BA at Whitworth College, and an MFA from Boston University. He taught at Dartmouth College and the University of Iowa. He lives and works in Hanover, NH, and is represented by the Pepper Gallery, Boston, and the Francine Seders Gallery, Seattle. Recent exhibitions include Westchester University; New Bedford Art Museum; Taylor University; Coe College; Colorado State University; Lori Bookstein Gallery, NY; Delaware Center for Contemporary Art; Kouros Gallery, NY; Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton University; Union College, NY; Pepper Gallery, Boston; and the Francine Seders Gallery. His work is in the collections of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College; University of Iowa Museum of Art; Cedar Rapids Museum of Art; American University, Watkins Collection, DC; Jundt Art Museum, Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA; Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester; Cheney Cowels Memorial Museum, Spokane, WA; and the National Academy. He is the recipient of a Yaddo Fellowship; MacDowell Art Colony Fellowship; Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; Distinguished Alumni Award, Boston University; and a Ford Foundation Grant.
