Born in Racine, WI, 1938, printmaker Frances Myers earned both an MS and an MFA at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has taught at Mills College, University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She lives and works in Madison, WI, and is represented by the Perimeter Gallery, Chicago and the Peltz Gallery, Milwaukee. Recent exhibitions include Anchor Graphics Gallery, Chicago; University of Georgia; Illinois Wesleyan University; Peltz Gallery, Milwaukee; Milwaukee Museum of Art; Museu do Arte de Brasilia; Madison Art Center, WI; Clemson University, SC; Perimeter Gallery, Chicago; and the Republic of China National Taiwan Arts Institute, Taipai, Taiwan. Her work is included in the collections of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University; Metropolitan Museum of Art; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Art Institute of Chicago; Library of Congress; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She is the recipient of a Kellett Mid-Career Award, University of Wisconsin; The Sacajawea Award, Professional Dimensions Association; and a National Endowment for the Arts Grant.
