Born in Brooklyn, NY, 1941, painter Anthony Panzera studied in Florence, Italy, and earned a BS from the State University of New York, New Paltz, and an MFA from Southern Illinois University. He is represented by the Robert Wilson Gallery, Nantucket, and the Eisenhower Gallery, Edgartown.He lives and works in Mendham, NJ, and teaches at Hunter College. Recent exhibitions include The Century Association; The Chanticleer, MA; New Jersey State Museum, Trenton; Bates College; University or Richmond; Hickory Museum of Art, NC; Newark Art Museum; Laurel Tracey Gallery, NJ; Leubsdorf Gallery, Hunter College; Newark Museum; and the Painting Center, NY. His work is included in the collections of the Hickory Museum of Art; Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University; Museum of Art, Bates College; The Century Association; Rutgers Center for Innovative Printmaking; Bank of America; Johnson & Johnson Collection; and Southern Illinois University Gallery. He has created frescoes for the Parsons School of Design; Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art; and St. Peter's Church, NY.
