Architect James Polshek earned an MA in Architecture from Yale University and was a Fulbright Fellow at the Royal Academy of Dine Arts in Copenhagen. He was Dean of the Faculty of the Graduate School of Architecture, Columbia University. He is the founder and Senior Partner in Polshek Partnership Architects. Current projects include William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center; Newseum/Freedom Forum Foundation Headquarters; and the University of Virginia, South Lawn Project. His firm is the recipient of awards for the Rose Center for Earth and Space, American Museum of Natural History; Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall, NY; New York Times Printing Plant; Santa Fe Opera House; Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts, Stanford University; Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center; National Inventors Hall of Fame; and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian Cultural resources Center. He co-founded Architects, Designers and Planners for Social Responsibility.
