Born in New York, NY, 1939, painter Harriet Shorr earned a BA from Swarthmore College and a BFA from Yale University. She lives and works in New York City and is represented by the Cheryl Pelavin Fine Art, NY. Recent exhibitions include University of Colorado, Colorado Springs; State University of New York, Purchase; Gallery of Contemporary Art, CO; Gallery Camino Real; Cumberland Gallery; Evelyn Siegel Gallery, Fort Worth; Rice University, TX; Gloria Luria Gallery, FL; Fischbach Gallery; Clanon College; Neuberger Museum, Purchase; Armory Arts Center, Palm Beach; Delaware Contemporary Arts Center; and numerous shows at the Cheryl Pelavin Fine Art Her work is included in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago; Bayly Art Museum; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Utah Museum of Fine Art; Utah Museum of Fine Art; and the corporate collections of Chemical Bank, Citicorp, Lehman Bros., and Estee Lauder.
