Born in Chicago, IL, painter Idelle Weber studied at the Art Students League, Scripps College, and earned a BA and MA at the University of California, Los Angeles. She has taught at Harvard University, New York University Graduate School, and was artist-in-residence at the University of Melbourne, Australia and currently lives and works in New York City. Recent one-person exhibitions include the Nassau County Museum of Art; Neuberger Museum, Purchase; Jean Albano Gallery, Chicago; University of Virginia Art Museum; Schmidt-Bingham Gallery; Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University, Australia; Gerald Peters Gallery; Jean Albano Gallery; Colorado State University; Fendrick Gallery; Arts Club of Chicago; Nassau County Museum; Davenport Museum of Art; Santa Barbara Museum of Art; and the Jenkins Johnson Gallery, San Francisco. Her work is included in the collections of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery; Harvard University; Brooklyn Museum of Art; Metropolitan Museum of Art; Smithsonian American Art Museum; Whitney Museum of American Art; Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; and the Yale University Art Gallery.
