Born in Seymour, IA, 1924, painter Jane Wilson studied at the University of Iowa and has taught at Columbia Univeristy, Parsons School of Design, and Pratt Institute. She lives and works in New Yrok City and is represented by the DC Moore Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions include DC Moore Gallery, NY; The MAC, Dallas, TX; Heckscher Museu of Art; Marlborough Gallery, NY; Guild Hall Museum; and the National Academy Museum. Her work is included in the collections of the American Embassy, The Philippines; Bryn Mawr College; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; Long Island Museum, NY; Metropolitan Museum of Art; and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She is the recipient of awards from the Lotus Club; Guild Hall Museum; National Academy Museum; and the American Acsademy of Arts & Letters.
