![]() A Legendary Building Set is Again Extraordinarily Popular! Since 1995, Anker Stone sets have been manufactured adhering to the original authentic 19th century process utilizing quartz sand, chalk and linseed oil. The result is a building set which has already fascinated and inspired generations of adults and children--many of whom later became architects, engineers, builders and artists. Winner: 1998 Parent's Choice Award in Gold, 1999 National Parents Publisher Award in Gold. The Anker Stone Building set is completely natural--stones, box and accessories. Nevertheless we emphasize, because of the danger of choking on stones, that children under 3 should not be given stones to play with. Sets should be purchased sequentially in the following order: 6, 6A, 8A, 10A, 12A, 14A, 16A, 18A, 20A, 22A, 24A, 26A. | Mind Games and Puzzles While Froebel developed the first modular building set, highbrow circles in Europe entertained themselves with what they called "mind games." F. Ad Richter took note of this fashion and introduced puzzles made from the Anker stone material to the market at the end of the 19th century. Each boxed puzzle set includes a booklet with diagrams and solutions. Ages 3 to adult. |
