    Nick Cave: Conversation & Cocktail Reception

    During an exclusive evening of conversation and cocktails with world-renowned artist Nick Cave, Dr. Marshall N. Price, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, interviewed Cave about his career and creative process. Cave shared special insights into his dynamic Soundsuits featured in the Academy’s current exhibition, Seismic Shifts: 10 Visionaries in Contemporary Art and Architecture, and his groundbreaking installation and performance piece at Grand Central Terminal, Nick Cave: Heard·NY (March 25-31, 2013).

    2012 Spring Gala with Silent Auction featuring Artwork by National Academy and School Faculty

    Thank you for attending and supporting the 2012 Spring Gala. To view photos of the event, please click here. This year’s celebration honored National Academician David Driskell, Academy School Faculty Sharon Sprung, and renowned curator, academic, and painter Robert Storr. Nearly 300 guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner in our newly renovated galleries and helped raise almost $400,000 in support of the Academy’s exhibitions, programs, and school.
